An 8 story Hilton Hotel on Chautauqua Lake?
Everyone in Western New York wonders why we have so much beautiful waterfront property, so many boats, such glorious summers and nowhere much to do anything with any of it. But it's tough to make your money back on a lakefront restaurant, club or hotel when the nice weather only lasts for 3 or 4 months.
This project is estimated at $15 million -- and there's no ski slope or golf course in the backyard to take up the slack.
I'd love to see it happen, but I'm doubtful.
